Eight cars enter, one car leaves in Stainless Software's Xbox Live Arcade vehicular combat title; game costs 800 Marketplace points ($10).

Xbox 360 owners looking for a little bit of vehicular carnage can hop onto Xbox Live Marketplace this week and download Novadrome. Developed by Stainless Games, the studio that brought Crystal Quest to the Xbox 360, Novadrome is a car-combat game that will be available this Wednesday at 1 a.m. PST for 800 Marketplace points ($10).

Abducted by the robotic inhabitants of the planet Nova, drivers will do battle against their metallic captors in a series of competitions. Each of the 20 cars is outfitted with armor and high-powered weapons, and battles take place in one of 15 arenas.

In the single-player mode, gamers will do battle with robotic gladiators and end-level bosses as they try to prevent an invasion of Earth. Novadrome also offers a multiplayer mode for up to eight players.

Novadrome is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older.
