GripShift gets remixed for PS3 (gamespot)

- gamespot -

Sony Online Entertainment to bring remixed, high-def version of PSP racing hybrid to the next-gen console for $9.99.

Last year, Sony Online Entertainment introduced an unusual hybrid racing game with puzzle and platforming elements to the PlayStation Portable. The game was largely lost in the rush of higher-profile racers on the system like Burnout Legends, Need For Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0, and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, but it will get another crack at drawing gamers' interest soon with its debut on the PlayStation 3.

Sony Online Entertainment today announced that a "remixed version" of GripShift would be available late this month or early next month for PS3 owners to download for $9.99. In addition to graphics that display at 60 frames per second and 720p resolution, GripShift will include online multiplayer for up to four players and new content. The publisher says it has improved the vehicle handling to be more responsive, and has included more than 125 new or remixed levels, as well as 25 tracks and a modified soundtrack.
