EA Sports NBA Live Challenge Online Tournament Tips Off Nov. 30 (gamezone)

Gamers to Compete for Trip to NBA All-Star in Las Vegas and $50,000 First Prize

The first annual EA SPORTS™ NBA LIVE Challenge Presented by T-Mobile, is set to tip-off the online portion of the gaming tournament using EA’s popular NBA LIVE 07, with gamers competing for a trip to NBA All-Star in Las Vegas and a $50,000 first prize.

The competition, which features Best Buy as a participating sponsor, pits gamers head-to-head online playing NBA LIVE 07 on the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft. The online portion of the tournament is in the form of Ladder Play and the competition will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 28. The top 128 ranked players from the ladder will be placed in an EA SPORTS NBA LIVE Challenge Online Tournament Bracket to compete for two qualifying spots Jan. 8-31.

The two winners from the online portion of the tournament will be flown to Las Vegas in February for NBA All-Star Week where they will compete in the NBA Live Challenge Finals on Thursday, February 15 at the Palms Hotel for the chance to win the $50,000 first prize.
