Bonk's Adventure and Bomberman '93 on Wi (gamespot)

- gamespot -

Starting today, Wii owners will be able to purchase and download both Bomberman '93 and Bonk's Adventure. Both games were originally supposed to be ready by launch, but were delayed. Other Hudson titles for the TurboGrafx-16 are also scheduled to hit the Wii Virtual Console over the next two weeks, including Dungeon Explorer, Super Star Soldier and Victory Run. More games from Hudson Entertainment are expected to be announced in the near future. Bonk's Adventure was first released in the US for the TG-16 in the early nineties. The lead character of that game, Bonk, was featured as the mascot for the game console from NEC. In Japan the TurboGrafx-16 was known as the PC Engine. The system fared much better overseas than it did here in the States.
