E3 2005: PS3 vs. Halo 3? (gamedaily)

According to a article in Time magazine, Bill Gates is quoted as saying that Halo 3 will launch at roughly the same time as Sony's PS3. The article apparently confirms that Halo 3 will not be an Xbox 360 launch title, instead being "part of the all-important second wave next spring."

"It's perfect," Gates said to Time. "The day Sony launches, and they walk right into Halo 3."

More details about the release date of the PS3 and Halo 3 should come out during Sony and Microsoft's main Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) press conferences later today.
