Inside Zelda, Wii Sports and Play (ign.com)

- ign.com -

Australia, November 27, 2006 - Forget the games themselves - we'll dive into those later. For now, in order to satisfy the lingering curiousities of gamers nationwide, we're posting some images of the things that matter. Namely, the back covers and insides of Zelda, Wii Sports and Wii Play.

For those keeping score at home, take this as official confirmation that we lucky Aussies get vastly superior boxed copies of Wii Sports included with our Wiis - unlike our American counterparts who have to deal with cardboard. Plus, we get Wii Play at launch - The US has to wait until January for that glory.

Suckers.

So, without further stalling for time, here are some exclusive shots of the boxes and discs. Can you say 'Golden Zelda Disc'? Holy heck yes.

The front of Wii Sports.

Note the 'NOT FOR INDIVIDUAL SALE' in the bottom right.

And there is the lovely sky-blue disc on the inside.

A little plain, mayhap, but it's straight-to-the-point, really.

The Wii Play box in all its understated glory.

No pawning this one, either, kids. But, honestly, would you want to?

Keen! It's day-glo orange!

Oooh. You can almost hear the ethereal howls of the demons contained inside.

The back, proclaiming this to be 'the biggest Zelda...of all time'. Well, I'll be the judge of that, mister box.

Ta-da! White and gold disc = super-slick. Excited yet?

Stare at this and think to yourself, 'Patch is going to be playing this all night long.' And then start to cry.
