GameStop Employees Report Fake Holdup (gamespy)

- gamespy -

Tauryn Robert Hodge and Gerald Anthony Keys have had better days. The two GameStop employees, both only 19, reported the theft of four PlayStation 3 consoles last week. As it turns out, the report was fake, and now both men are being held on charges of suspected embezzlement, burglary and conspiracy. Hodge is in a bit more trouble than Keys because he's also being slapped with a charge of filing a false police report.

According to a report by The Sacramento Bee, on November 16, Hodge reported to the police that masked gunmen robbed the GameStop where he worked. Somehow, the police were able to figure out that the robbery was bogus. So far the consoles haven't been recovered and an investigation is ongoing. Both Hodge and Keys have posted bail.
