BBC: No Concrete Plans For Xbox Live [ News ] (totalvideogames.com)

The British Broadcasting Corporation has today confirmed that there were "...no concrete plans..." in offering digitally distributed content over Xbox 360, though future talks between the BBC and Microsoft on exploring new platforms of delivery are a possibility.

Speaking to TVG, a representative from the BBC confirmed that whilst the Corporation had signed a "Memo of Understanding" (MoU) with Microsoft over digital distribution, thereby paving the way for future discussions, distribution of content over the platform may or may not happen, with the representative commenting, "Watch this space."

Microsoft themselves have confirmed that they are currently in discussions with content partners in other regions besides the US.

Clarification of the BBC's position comes just hours after Xbox Live's Larry Hyrb confirmed that there were technical difficulties with the Video Marketplace service since it launched in the US on Wednesday (Nov 22nd).
